Jewelry Fashion Trend - Black Rhodium

Because of rhodium’s durability, it’s a commonly used for plating jewelry. Rhodium resists more scratches and holds a polish longer than unplated silver or gold. Rhodium is naturally silver in color, but adding an ink dye that binds to the metal turns it black. Lighter stones like diamonds are enhanced when set in a black rhodium finish. In contrast, stones like rubies and emeralds in a darker setting draw the eye, allowing the metal to take a backseat and the stones to showcase their natural beauty.

Below are a couple black rhodium pieces here at Bellmawr Jewelry.

We're embracing the trend and hopefully you're won over just as much as we are. Please ask our jeweler for care instructions.
